Hear Her

First place winning painting at the Priddis and Millarville County Fair 2025 in Alberta, Canada.
This painting is Oil and acrylic on canvas 30x30” framed in a birchwood frame unstained, made by my favourite framers @rusticburlco out of Ontario, Canada.

“Hear Her”

A lioness captured mid-roar both powerful and primal. This hyperrealistic painting highlights the intricate textures of her fur, and the raw intensity of her expression. My goal in painting this so real and life-size is for the viewer to hear her roaring as loudly as her body communicates visually. The muted background contrasts with her strength. It speaks strongly to the empowerment of women everywhere.
