Wildlife-Painting Commission Deposit

This is a deposit for having a wildlife painting commissioned to be painted by Kristen. A deposit of approximately 50% is due up front, and the remainder Is due upon painting completion. The painting will be varnished and professionally framed and wired ready to hang, included in the price.

These paintings are done using gallery-depth canvas panels. They are begun with acrylic paints and finished in oil. The floater-frames are custom-made by a Canadian company using solid birchwood and made with the highest quality craftsmanship.

Please note: Oil paintings need about 3 months to dry before they can be varnished. If you’re having a painting commissioned for a certain date like a birthday or Christmas gift, please order your commission well in advance to make sure it will be ready in time. The average sized painting will take about 2 months to complete, plus drying time. 

If you don’t have enough time to ensure your commissioned piece could be ready before the date you need it, Kristen can work exclusively in acrylic instead, which needs minimal drying time before varnishing. Please make sure you specify your needs when you get in touch with Kristen.
