You are looking at the winner of Best in Show in the Millarville Priddis County Fair this year!! The fair was this last weekend August 16/17 2025. “Hear Her” received First Place honors as well as the Award of Excellence and Best Painting of the Fair. That means I get my name engraved on that trophy y’all. I am stunned and blown away at this achievement- it is the first time I’ve entered the Fair and I felt since I now live in Millarville I ought to have my work in the show. I am so proud and honored they loved this painting as much as I do…. One of the judges told me he just couldn’t accept that I was self-taught and believed me to be some kind of prodigy- but let’s not get too carried away. This was really awesome to see so many people rally around my work and appreciate it and I am so grateful!!

This one received second place. I’m thinking of calling it “In this Together” or “Wheels” it’s the first of many in a little series I’m working on about the Bookends of Life. More on that to come later… and last but not least, my painting “Bossy Cows” received the award of people’s choice for Most Favourite Artwork of the show:
